Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Tibbetts.
Alyssa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started at Quarterdeck the summer I graduated high school in 2006. I got a job as a hostess and was working while I went to school. As the years went on, I worked in every aspect of the restaurant. I was a food expediter, server, I even bar backed for a little before I became a bartender. It was bartending that really gave me a love for the industry. I worked 8 years behind the bar. I started off managing becoming a key employee about 2 years ago. In June 2017, I was given the opportunity to manage full-time. I was eager to take on the role and worked as an assistant General Manager. In a couple months, I was presented with opportunity to become General Manager and gladly accepted. I’ve grown up in this restaurant and its become my second home. Not only the staff but the regular patrons are like family to me. They have made the transition into this new role a lot easier.
Has it been a smooth road?
Any road in the restaurant industry is never smooth. There is always a problem and things go wrong but they are learning experiences. Working for this company for so long has made for a natural transition into where I am now.

Our goal at Quarterdeck has always been to deliver great tasting food in a fun, neighborhood environment. Our menu is dynamic. We offer a variety of dishes ranging from ribs and burgers, to delicious pastas and sushi. We have a Master Sushi Chef who ensures the highest quality, freshest fish you can get. Quarterdeck also has an extensive wine selection, craft beer menu and a craft cocktail menu created by our Spirit Master. Our old-school neighborhood values are felt in all of our locations. You will always feel welcome, I’ve had countless of customers come in by themselves and leave with a new friend. Our motto has always been “Come for the food, stay for the fun” and it will continue to be for years.

Any city is a good place for a restaurant like ours. It’s a place you can bring your family to celebrate a birthday, have a date night or enjoy a late night cocktail with friends.
