Today we’d like to introduce you to Sammy Rocks
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Samantha Robles also known as SammyRocks I´m a Tv host, Musician, Model, Songwriter and Dancer from Tampico Tamaulipas México. I´ve been in the entretainment industry for over 14 years. it all started when i was 16 and my mother read in the local newspaper that the main tv station of my city was gonna have a casting called “Chica Televisa” and so I went, I competed and I didn’t win but two months later I returned to the Tv station to perform with my rock group Hot Berries that i have with my brother Eddie Rocks who has been my musical partner since i can remember. As we performed there the director of the channel saw me and immediately ask me a few questions about music he did a little casting for me while interviewing me he opened the doors of the channel for me as the new host of the program Generación Mix wheere I presented videos and interviewed artists, kind of like local MTV. That same year another director of Televisa del golfo summoned me to speak to his office to be the new weather girl on the morning news and so I did that along with my rock show for almost 5 years until I moved with my mom and brother to live in Mexico City where the whole music industry and opportunities for my group Hot berries were at that time.
When I arrived to Mexico City we started to play our music in all kinds of pubs and festivals but I needed money and so I started to look up for a job and Grupo Imagen Multimedia opened the doors for me as the new weather girl in Excelsior Tv, Cadena 3 and imagen Televisión. And there I was with my rock band, my work at television and also studying my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communication at one of the most prestigious universities in Mexico ITESM campus Santa fe. I graduated of my first degree in communications on 2016 and the second one in Marketing in 2019. I was a Tv presenter, reporter and the weather girl in Grupo Imagen for about 10 years until 2022 where I got married and moved to Miami Florida with my husband who is an executive in Sony Music Latin here in Miami.
I´ve been producing music and writing songs in publishings for artists of all types of music and finally in 2015 ill be back in Television.
from 2022 to this moment in my life I´ve been preparing myself in so many classes such as accordion classes, french classes, musical production classes, I´m preparing my mind and body for the new opportunities to come in Tv and music.
I
I currently have two musical projects “Samantha Larobles (Regional Mexicano) where Im the singer, accordionist and songwriter of the project and Hot berries where i´m also the singer songwriter.
I´ve acted in a few Soap operas in Televisa México and I´ve been also in different music videos as the protagonist such as “sasha, sissi y el circulo de baba” of Fito Paez and Mon laferte.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I consider myself very fortunate because along the way the doors of many good projects have opened for me, I have met incredible people from whom I have learned a lot, I have gained experience like I never imagined. I feel powerful and confident in my talents, I feel that the path that life, God or the universe have traced for me is an abundant, successful and full of love path, I only have words of gratitude for the universe that always shows me where I should be
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a very talented woman, I am always looking for new ways to express myself, it can be through music, composition, production, interpretation. it can be through acting in novels, series or movies. It can be through television where I feel like a fish in water. it can be through dance that I have also developed throughout my life in Hawaiian Tahitian where I also have a teaching degree.
currently I would like to publicize the Samantha Larobles project where I develop as a composer, singer and accordionist of the music of my Mexican roots
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I will return to television this 2025 more reinforced than ever, I would like to tell you that I have prepared myself intellectually, emotionally and culturally to offer you the best version of myself.
I will also be playing with “Samantha LaRobles” my Regional Mexicano music project across Mexico and probably USA.
