Daily Inspiration: Meet Arielle Spring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arielle Spring

Hi Arielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Arielle Spring. I am a model, content creator, and retreat host based in Miami.

I am originally from a small town in northern California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. I have always been a very adventurous, creative person ever since I could remember. I when I was a little girl, I loved being both in front and behind the camera. In high school, I would take photos during family vacations and post them on Instagram. I also used to work at a surf camp in Santa Cruz, California where I would spend my summers working, surfing, and taking photos.

During high school, I got my very first collaboration with O’neill. They sent me swimsuits, stickers, etc in exchange for posts. This was when content creation was still such a new thing. After that, I collaborated with more large companies such as Triangl Swimwear, Bali Body, etc.

I studied Marine Biology at University of California, Santa Cruz, where I continued to take photos, surf, and post on social media between my studies. During my time at UC Santa Cruz, I was lucky to have the opportunity to participate in many field quarters where I studied marine life around the world in remote locations in Mexico and Corsica. I also studied abroad in Australia for a year and spent time in Bali. During this time I continued to take beautiful photos of my travels and grow my social media.

Once I gratudated in 2018, I left America and traveled throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East with other content creators, models, and influencers. During this time I continued to collaborate with tour companies, create content, and grow my social media. Towards the end of 2018, I moved back to Australia and lived there for another year. I worked full time as a model and content creator and signed with my first modeling agency. From there, I moved to Bali and continued to model and create content.

During the beginning of 2020, while I was still living in Bali, I went to New Zealand to visit and ended up getting stuck there for 2 yearings during the pandemic when they closed the borders. I signed with a New Zealand modeling agency and continued to model and create content. During the pandemic, I was very consistent on my socials and grew my Instagram account from 80K to 110k.

During the beginning of 2022, I moved back to America, specifically to Miami. I wanted to move to Miami because it was always my dream to do Miami Swim Week. I signed with my current modeling agency (Super Model Management) and have participated in every Miami Swim Week since I moved here in 2022.

I started hosting retreats in 2022. I hosted 2 modeling/photography retreats in 2022 and 2023. My next retreat will be in Socotra, Yemen March 2025.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. With all the traveling around there has been so much heartbreak because of timing and distance. Also being a bit of a nomad, it was hard not having a place to call home my home until now in Miami. It was hard to move somewhere, set up connections and a community, just to leave and start all over again.

With modeling it has not been easy at all, the money isn’t alway good or consistent and you are constantly being judged on every single physical flaw even if you are a great model which I am. In 2019-2021 I was struggling with major gut and skin problems and this negatively impacted my modeling drastically.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a model, content creator, and retreat host. I specialize in swimwear and activewear modeling. My retreats modeling/photography/content retreats with a focus on local culture and adventure.

I am most proud of my hard work, determination, and focus that I have put into achieving my goals. Nothing I have done has fallen into my lap, I’ve had to work hard for everything I have.

What sets me apart from others is my authenticity. Everything I do, I do it while being my genuine self. I am honset and true to myself and this is a rare trait in the world these days, I honest believe this is also how I’ve been able to get where I am today. People really value this authenticity when working together.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is being able to live in the present and be content. This doesn’t necessarily being happy with every waking moment of your life, but accepting the failures and road bumps as part of the journey. Its important to learn to love the journey just as much as the achievements if not more. People who do this are successful to me.
