Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Mercado
Hi Karla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have brought myself to the industry and model world about 3 years ago now, i have always been passionate to model since i was a kid i sing as well which is something i also love and enjoy doing, I believe hard work, determination, dedication and discipline could take you any where in this world if you don’t fight and go after your dreams they will never come to you i encourage myself so much as a young woman what ever i put my mind to i work hard and get it i believe nothing is handled to you and you really have to work hard believing in yourself always love yourself for who you are , always be yourself “if you can conceive and believe, you can archive.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a easy road , i dealt with a lot of anxiety, depression and so much doubt on myself and my talents it has not been a easy i use to struggle a lot with not believing in my self and what i was capable off always second guess every decision, but i was able to let go and find myself I learned of letting go of thing’s and people that didn’t serve me anymore.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Even if modeling and singing is my passion i found myself into loving the medical field and the environment it brings, it could be challenging and chaotic at times because of the battles this people have to fight with everyday. However i love the love i receive from my patients everyday makes all worth it, one thing i have learn about working in the medical field for almost 4 years now is that life is too short to waist it on things that don’t bring you happiness and peace into your life.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What i like the most about New York is the love , humbleness, kindness and transparency.
What i dislike the most out of New york city is the lack of careless people have.
