Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila Castillo, Isabella Davila, Gabriela Osuna
Hi Find The Click Team, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Find the Click was born from a friendship between three women Camila Castillo (@theglobalcanvas), Isabella Davila (@isaalt), and Gabriela Osuna (@gabyosuna_) who love art, music, and cool events. Back in 2023, we saw the necessity, especially in Doral, for events that involved art and music outside of the party culture.
Everything started when Tripping Animals Brewery allowed us the space to create a weekly free creative hangout called “Creative Monday.” There, we started connecting with a network of artists and different creatives who inspired us to create events beyond Creative Mondays, like our first “big” ticketed (donation-based) event, which was a party on a Sunday called “Creative Almost Monday.” It was a complete success; the community came out and showed us that they appreciated having a third space dedicated to authentic connections inspired by art, music, and Tripping Animals beers. We had our first audience of over 100 people and realized people were hungry for more events from Find the Click.
The adrenaline rush that we got from the good feedback and the inspiration coming from the number of artists that reached out got us to Find the CLICK, finishing the year with 64 events, an LLC, and a business bank account, all in 2023. From podcast meet-and-greets to tattoo parties with art galleries, we were throwing it down and cultivating a space for this artist collective to grow.
The moment we took a second to breathe and recap everything that happened in 2023, we got to appreciate the evolution of the project and everything we had learned in this crazy process that we started out of a passion for art and human connection. Partners like Tripping Animal Brewing, Julia’s and Henry’s, and Ni Me Ladilles podcast trusted in our vision to turn their ideas into a reality. That boosted our confidence and helped us get more organized and understand the value added to the audience we serve. That set the pace and goals for 2024, a year that we set out to be as successful but less stressful.
2024 started out with our first Creative Monday anniversary party in January to celebrate with our artist community and our audience who have been crucial in our growth. Beyond celebrating our baby’s first year, we wanted to celebrate the people that we met along the way, from collaborators to friends who turned into teammates and strangers who turned into regulars. We threw a party to remind us all that we are all in this together because if there is anything that we have learned, it is that it really does take a village. It takes that and a lot of organization; that’s how we’ve kept it going, focusing on bringing engaging events that invite the community to live innovative creative experiences.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have been very lucky to count on a lot of support, organic growth, and inspiration/determination to keep our road as smooth as one can ask for. But some of the struggles we have encountered along the way include:
Time management: This is a passion project. All of the team members have their full-time jobs, which makes it complicated to organize meetings and dedicate the time required to plan and host each event.
Understanding our value ($$): As young professionals, impostor syndrome did not skip us. We had to face the daunting question of how much we should charge for our work.
Work-life balance: We learned the lesson that we needed to set clear boundaries when the project was consuming TOO much of our lives, as we are still in the process of making this our main source of income. We understood that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Find the Click’s mission is to promote creative living and artistic expression through community engagement events and artists’ accelerator programs. At the heart of Miami’s vibrant cultural landscape, our organization, guided by visionary women, dedicates itself to igniting the spirit of creativity that resides within every individual. We believe that artistic expression is not a luxury but a fundamental aspect of living a fulfilled life. What sets us apart is that through our meticulously curated art events, we provide a dynamic platform for artists and communities to interact, inspire, and influence each other.
Our mission extends beyond mere events; we are committed to nurturing emerging talent through our artists’ accelerator programs. These programs are designed to empower artists with the tools, resources, and exposure necessary to flourish in the art world. By fostering such talent, we not only contribute to the individual growth of artists but also to the cultural enrichment of our community. Our goal is to create a ripple effect of creativity and artistic appreciation, establishing Miami as a beacon of innovative and inclusive artistry that resonates on a global stage.
We are known for our offerings because they vary; we are able to make our artists’ wishes come true in whatever fashion they choose. We have had one-time events like podcast live episodes, parties, art galleries, and local band concerts. We have also created and hosted several pop-ups at other events, which we call “Creative Corner.” The events that we take the most pride in are our series of events, each dedicated to one facet of the creative community:
Find the Still – Content Creation Party dedicated to photographers and content creators
Find the Ink – Tattoo Party dedicated to tattoos as an art form
Talk Story – Storytelling dedicated to writers
The Lil Painting Sesh – Guided Painting Class dedicated to the community
Creative Monday Jam Jam Sessions – Monthly jam sessions dedicated to musicians
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
This is a hard question to answer as there are three of us leading Find the Click. However, there is one thing that we share: our upbringing in Venezuela. We all grew up in a Latin culture that loves finding excuses to celebrate and enjoy community gatherings that bring people together. This is something that the three of us missed since we had to move to Miami. When we found each other and our close group of friends, we realized that we could preserve our warm culture that honors human connection in our new home.
