Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Rodriguez

Hi Gabriela , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey from Venezuela to the U.S. has been one of transformation and perseverance. As a lawyer forced to leave my home country in 2015 due to political reasons, I faced many challenges upon arrival, including living in a warehouse and showering at a gym for a few months. I took on jobs like cleaning houses and driving for ride-sharing services, but I didn’t let these obstacles deter me. I won a scholarship to pursue an MBA, which helped me understand the U.S. corporate system and laid the foundation for founding Olam Med Spa. Today, we are a leading aesthetic business in Florida, generating over $2.5 million annually.

My success stems from faith, continuous learning, and a commitment to giving back. I believe in investing in oneself, adapting to change, and using every experience as an opportunity for growth. My philosophy is rooted in gratitude, dedication, and service to others, always striving for excellence in everything we do. I emphasize the importance of resilience and a willingness to take massive action, no matter the obstacles. Through Olam Med Spa, I aim to not only enhance beauty but also contribute to the well-being of our community, ensuring that we grow both professionally and personally.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
t hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Building a business as an immigrant comes with unique challenges, from navigating a new legal and business environment to overcoming language barriers and cultural differences. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and exhaustion, especially when facing uncertainty about the future. Additionally, balancing the financial demands of starting a business while adapting to a new country was incredibly tough. But these struggles have also been invaluable lessons in resilience, pushing me to grow both personally and professionally, and to never lose sight of my vision.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a CEO with an MBA and a background in law, my work focuses on strategic leadership, business development, and creating innovative models in the aesthetic and wellness industry. I specialize in integrating advanced technology with a customer-centric approach. I am known for driving growth through data-driven decisions and my ability to adapt to market dynamics. What sets me apart is my holistic approach, blending analytical skills with empathy and community impact. I am most proud of building a company that fosters both financial success and a positive, inclusive culture.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, my plans focus on expanding Olam Med Spa while maintaining the high standards of quality and personalized care that define us. I’m exploring opportunities to open new locations and introduce innovative services that leverage the latest advancements in aesthetics and wellness. I’m also looking to invest more in the development of my team and to enhance our community outreach efforts. A significant goal is to continue fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the industry.
