Exploring Life & Business with Michelle Acosta of Self-Awareness Education

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Acosta

Hi Michelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After learning that I was expecting my son, I embarked on my path toward self-awareness. It was then that I realized I needed to transform my life, learn how to love myself completely, and create boundaries in order to be the most self-aware mother I could be for my child. My company, Self Awareness Education, was founded a year ago. As part of an after-school program, I started teaching self awareness classes to kids in schools. My desire to help children become self-aware stemmed from my love and maternal instincts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not an easy journey to self-awareness. The hardest thing I had to learn was to let go of individuals who were clinging to the unhealed version of me. I had to come to terms with the fact that some friends and family would not accompany me on my journey of self-awareness and would simply disappear from my life as I developed.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My mission statement serves as a guide for my purpose, my vision, my leadership, and it gives me the ability to be the most

self-aware. We provide an open-minded educational environment for everyone. We promote positive self-awareness and offer

social-emotional support in order to foster academic communication, a positive relationship with oneself and the life skills

necessary to optimize each person’s potential for personal growth and independence. We provide high-quality self-awareness

education by delving into one’s own self and studying one’s own thoughts. We guide individuals to be strong self-advocates

who are becoming their best selves while pursuing academic success and personal achievement.

What’s next?
My goal for the future is to have my program offered by an increasing number of schools.
