Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Jimenez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started when I was a little kid many of my moms friends and family, as well as random people in the street will tell my mom of what a cute kid she had and that I was gonna be a heartbreaker when I got older. So, walking through the mall, a lady stopped my mom and told her that she should sign me up to her modeling/acting school. So, my mom did and from there on, I started learning about the business on my own and kept getting acting agencies as well as modeling agencies sign me to their agents.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I had many struggles along the way, both my parents were pretty old and I had my dad very sick. I really didn’t have him around because he left my mom and I many times for another woman that he had. He was an alcoholic and would always abuse my mom and I. My mom always worked hard to get herself and I ahead and she did! With that being said, my mom didn’t have too much money so I had to do a lot of this on my own, meaning looking for photographers, paying them, getting acting teachers and paying them as well and going to agencies where they will tell me, I don’t have the look they are looking for and throw away my acting resume. It was tough because I would get discouraged so, I would give up for a while and I would always remind myself that I’m doing this for my mom and wanna have her living comfortable and lovely. So, I would go back to my acting and modeling then continue on my own and I’ve gotten really far, made some great connections learned a lot and still keeping that mentality of never giving up and keep pushing forward to make this dream of becoming an actor a reality.

I do acting/modeling and boxing and what I think that sets me aside from a lot of other people is the willingness to give up friends, family, going out, girlfriends, work and school just to make this dream a reality.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very shy, which is unusual because I’m in acting and gotta perform in front of people. But, I feel like doing acting has gave me the opportunity to open up more and be a lot more social.
