Life & Work with Guinwa Zeineddine of Miami, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Guinwa Zeineddine

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
With the goal of becoming a doctor, life had in store a career twist for Guinwa when she won the title of Miss Arab USA in 2014. Her rendezvous with cameras, the spotlight, and applause continued when she became a full-time bilingual TV host and content creator in 2015. Optimizing opportunities that came along with the international beauty pageant win, she has collaborated with several luxury brands to further her commitment to empowering and representing Arab women through her lifestyle, fashion, and beauty. Guinwa is one of the few celebrities who has remained true to her social responsibilities despite the obstacle and shares her unfiltered life as a wife and mother through YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok.

In 2017, Guinwa founded ‘Hawiyati.org’ (My Identity), a 501c3 non-profit organization that aims at empowering Arab American youth through cultural and language programs. It also includes humanitarian drives to support Arabs in crisis across the globe. The most recent one being Hawiyati’s face mask initiative were 100% of all profits were donated to those affected by the 2020 Beirut Explosion. The organization has received support and recognition in a short span from Arab celebrities like Ragheb Alameh, Tony Issa, and Hisham Abbas. It’s efforts and community involvement awarded the organization best of nonprofits for both 2017 and 2018 by greatnonprofits.org

In 2019, Guinwa founded The Influencer Lab which provides aspiring influencers the right tools to excel in this industry. Through events, and partnerships; the lab has functioned as an incubator with Guinwa at the helm as a mentor. With a strong belief in diversity and inclusion, the conferences aim at having diverse panelists and experts in terms of their cultural background and expertise so that every aspiring influencer can feel represented and heard. Guinwa also conceptualized digital conferences and online training workshops via zoom to keep the momentum going during COVID times. The Influencer Lab has also grown an expansive offline network through its newsletter and is socially active in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Now a mama of 2 and pregnant with baby #3 Guinwa resides in Miami with her family where she continues to share the glamorous moments of her life but also the unfiltered real moments such as her miscarriage story, tackling mom guilt, and body positivity through her social media content in hopes of inspiring and connecting with other moms on a similar path.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In general, any career that requires you to be in the public eye can be very exhausting. You constantly have to show up even on your bad days, hear criticism from people who think they know your life but they actually don’t all while trying to balance motherhood with your dreams.
