Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Flores.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been taking pictures of my food for as long as I can remember. It’s always been a thing for me but it wasn’t until last year in 2017, that one of my girlfriends suggested that I should start a food blog. From there, I started my food IG and eventually a blog and well, here I am today! It’s been about a year and I’ve met a lot of wonderful people. The foodie community is great, people are friendly and supportive.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It really has been pretty smooth. Before switching over to food blogging, I had (still have actually) a beauty blog. It’s completely different with the food – like I mentioned, people are more friendly and supportive of each other’s work. I started my food blog as a hobby, it’s something I do for fun so I can’t really say I’ve had struggles along the way, except the struggle of bad lighting here and there!
Please tell us about The Mia Foodie.
The Mia Foodie specializes in food photography and reviews. I love taking pictures of beautiful food but I also enjoy writing honest reviews about my experiences in restaurants. Miami is somewhat of a small city and it’s easy to end up in places that other foodies have already been to. I think something that sets me apart from others is the fact that my blog is strictly about the content. I like that my identity was sort of a secret, until now!
