Hi Devin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
In order to help you understand where I’m coming from and why I even help those with sleep issues, let me share that for much of my life, sleep was an afterthought—a mundane routine I just took for granted, much like those who are blessed with the gift of effortless sleep.
The idea that sleep could be a gateway to unlocking profound levels of joy, energy, longevity, and health or that it could become the very thing that makes life seem like it’s not worth living was far-fetched to me. My sleep perspective underwent a profound shift when 7 years ago a health coaching client I was working with was tormented by a terrible bout of extreme sleeplessness and sought my guidance.
It was a pivotal moment that illuminated the critical yet overlooked role of sleep in our lives. As I delved into the intricacies of sleep science and sifted through the myriad of sleep solutions at our disposal, I encountered two pivotal revelations: The prevailing solutions skimmed the surface, scarcely addressing the underlying causes of sleep disturbances.
Sleep is the foundation of our health— it’s a vital process for rejuvenating our brain, body, and overall health, and without it, life seems to fall apart. Sleep’s impact extends far beyond physical health. It influences every facet of our existence, from our interpersonal relationships and career trajectories to our overall performance and well-being.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a deep sense of purpose, I embarked on a quest to learn everything I could about the mysteries of sleep. I began experimenting with various methodologies, technologies, and tools, each step bringing me closer to a comprehensive system that promised not just a temporary sleep solution but one that was natural and lasting.
The success I witnessed in my client was a testament to the power of this system I uncovered not just for him but for potentially millions suffering in the silent turmoil of sleepless nights. This journey was not just about solving a sleep issue for one of my clients; it became a calling to empower as many people as possible with the keys to unlock their fullest potential through the transformative power of sleep.
Since then I made it my mission to share this knowledge, to illuminate the path for those who, like my client, were desperate for the solace of a consistent, peaceful night’s rest. I helped my client sleep by sharing this system, and I knew if I could help one person, then this could potentially help the millions of people who feel alone and broken and that their sleep experience is unique.
I’ve intensively studied sleep, I’ve done all the research, got the certifications, attended the seminars and conferences, read all the books, and figured this out so others don’t have to. Sharing this information with the world and supporting people to restore their natural ability to sleep is my life’s purpose and I feel honored I get to share it with the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As you can imagine, helping those who struggle with sleep comes with many challenges. Think about the last time you didn’t sleep well and how you felt physically, mentally, and emotionally.
