Today, we’d like to introduce you to Mauro and Luisa Hernandez.
Hi Mauro and Luisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We start by showing general aspects of Miami, such as street photography, drone videos, and cityscapes, as well as videos that capture daily life in the city. Over time, we started to consider the idea of focusing on a specific niche.
When our baby was born, we realized that we spent more time researching and planning activities with her. That’s when we discovered the opportunity to create content focused on this unique experience of being parents and exploring Miami with our daughter.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
After finishing my employment contract in Colombia, which represented my stability for five years, I faced great uncertainty about how to improve my future and get closer to my life goals. My wife and I agreed that improving our English was essential to open ourselves to new opportunities.
We decided to travel to the United States to embark on this new path as international students. Luisa has just finished her master’s degree in Business Administration, and we have been living in this country for almost four years.
The adaptation process was challenging but enriching. At first, I faced some difficulties with language, cultural differences, and lifestyle. Over time, we became familiar with the environment and adapted to all those differences; it was a process that involved perseverance, open-mindedness, and willingness to face new challenges.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
We are Mauro and Luisa, a couple of Latin immigrants who arrived in the city of Miami as international students to improve their English. Both engineers graduated in Colombia.
We are passionate about creating and entrepreneurship, and since we arrived, we have fallen in love with this city and dedicated ourselves to capturing and exploring its streets and corners.
