Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Jessica Leo.
Dr. Leo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born in New Jersey but raised in Haiti. I returned to the States in 2005 to further my academic career. After graduating from the University of South Florida with the intention of becoming a family physician, I realized my calling was to take a more holistic and natural approach to health care.
I then, went to Palmer College of Chiropractic where I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. As I started to think about the kind of practice that I wanted, I’ve decided that I wanted to target the busy families and individuals who cannot afford to be sitting in a waiting room during normal office hours. This is when the idea of having a mobile chiropractic practice was born. The name of my practice is Light of Life Chiropractic, LLC.
At Light of Life Chiropractic, my goal is to help kids and adults alike, achieve maximum and optimum health. I enjoy taking care of the babies, pregnant ladies, athletes and more. I am currently pursuing a certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and a certification for doula with DONA international to further my knowledge and better assist my patients.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Just like anything in life, it has its ups and downs. It has been a rewarding journey but not always a smooth road. I’ve never owned a business or an office before, therefore the first struggle that I encountered was “where do I start?” Through some research and after hiring a coach, I had a starting point and was able to hit the ground running.
Another area of continuous learning has been marketing. I want to make sure that my business is reaching out to everyone in need of chiropractic care, therefore, I am trying different avenues to see what works best for the practice.
Although, I am still in the beginning stages, I have learned a lot and I am still learning.

Light of Life Chiropractic, LLC provides house call Chiropractic care in the comfort of your home, office, or hotel by appointment only. It is a concierge-style chiropractic practice design with the patient’s need. It’s an old-fashioned service in the modern world. We provide care to those who live in Boca Raton, Florida and surrounding cities.
It is very convenient for those with a busy schedule, those who find it stressful to leave their house. With our house call chiropractic, there is no waiting room, no traffic to get to an office, the appointments are longer and I am able to give my patients better advice to their environment such as home or work ergonomics. My patients will be given appropriate stretches and exercises to do in between their appointments, if needed, to speed their recovery or help make them that much stronger. As a chiropractor, I use a variety of techniques that include Webster, Diversified, Activator Methods, Thompson drops, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation and more. The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment mostly used on pregnant women. The goal of this technique is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, the neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.
We also love to participate in community events such as health fairs to educate people about chiropractic and its benefits.

I am very grateful to have been surrounded by family and friends who have been avid supporters of my schooling and to my business’ success. I will not name individuals due to the fear of forgetting someone.
