Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Stella Giraldella.
Chef Stella grew up in a Brazilian family where she learned at an early age that quality food was an essential ingredient to good living. As a child, she watched her grandmother prepare culinary masterpieces from scratch. Her grandmother was an avid traveler and instilled in Stella the importance of experiencing diverse cuisines from around the globe. While living in Brazil, Stella studied Dietician in Anhembi Morumbi University in São Paulo. In 2006, Stella moved to Miami and decided to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps and experience worldwide culinary diversity. She began learning Latin and Caribbean Cuisine. But it was not enough. In 2011, Stella attended Florida International University where she earned a degree in Culinary Management. In 2012, Stella attended Miami Culinary Institute, earning a certificate in Culinary Arts. Stella now resides in Miami and has since founded Basil Personal Chef. Basil Personal Chef team shares the philosophy and passion of opening their client’s eyes to a healthier lifestyle.
She also works with high elite professional athletes by providing them with a one-on-one experience in order to better their nutritional values and develop a special meal plan. She also provides special services during their rehabilitation from injuries. By working with the athletes, alongside their doctors, on their diets during their injuries, we are ensuring that their performance will improve once their resume their rigorous training.
For the last 5 years, Chef Stella has worked with B/S/H (Bosch, Gaggenau, Thermador). Alongside these companies, she has worked at SOBE WFF, KBIS Demo, and doing appliance demonstrations at showrooms, such as Monark, Ferguson, LCI International, La Cuisine, Bulthaup, Ritz Calton Residence, and Scavolini, as well as client’s homes. Chef Stella also works alongside with two high-end real state groups providing private meals, such as breakfast, lunch and dinner, and cocktail parties to clients from ISG (International Sales Group) and PMG (Property Markets Group).
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
One of the greatest struggles I had to face during my journey has to be the competition. The culinary world is extremely cutthroat and you are faced with amazing chefs around the world. Not only are you competing against other personal chef companies, but also with restaurants and deli departments in supermarkets that provide a catering service.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Basil Personal Chef story. Tell us more about the business.
Basil Personal Chef is known for being a company that focuses on healthy and nutritious food with a gourmet touch. What differences us from the competition is that we are extremely focused and concerned with details. We ensure that our presentation and set up is absolute perfection. We want our clients to enjoy the experience and not have to worry about anything. We ensure that our client’s events are above their expectations and that their dreams become a reality. Our greatest achievement is making our clients happy.

I think that in everything in life, you have to put your heart and soul into it. Yes, there are moments that you’re at the right place at the right time but at the end of the day, it’s the dedication that you put into your work that truly makes you stand out from the rest.
