Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Dascal.
Hi Karla, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been one of organic personal growth. Coming from a stressful career in the events industry, without a wellness routine or a balanced understanding of nutrition, I made the decision to realign and redesign my work projects around my personal desire to improve health and elevate spirituality.
Paradise Farms and “The Markets”, “The Tours” and our latest addition, the project, “Dinners in Paradise”, form part of my holistic objectives: to cultivate an authentic, purposeful existence, in which lifestyle, family, and business ventures coexist within an integrative framework.
My healing process was the guide I needed to establish pillars and values for The Sacred Space Miami and Paradise Farms. My vision is to provide community education, tools, and experiences that spark and sustain the healing of others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Despite my success, my declining health with obesity and diabetes diagnosis at the time led me to embark on my own spiritual journey to find purpose and health. By re-aligning and redesigning my life, I was able to create a life that feels authentic, whole, and purposeful.
Through this process there have been some struggles along the way, some of them were:
-The struggle and challenges of creating systems and operations that support our evolution and allow us to sustainably grow.
-Human Capital. When we are growing businesses that have an impact not only in the way we do and grow things, but in the way we evolve as human beings, finding a strong team with professional experience and personal interest in their growth that believes in myself and in the projects we were building was a challenge at a times.
-The struggle of sustainability, meaning making sure we deliver the best quality of products and services, and yet at the same time we are financially sustainable and supported, so there is coherence in everything we do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a holistic wellness entrepreneur, owner, and visionary leader of Paradise Farms and The Sacred Space Miami. Born and raised in Miami.
I’m passionate about creating a more integrated way of living, and that’s what drives my work at Paradise Farms and The Sacred Space Miami. One core belief I have is the importance of healthy food systems. That’s why at Paradise Farms, we practice regenerative agriculture to cultivate healthy and nutrient dense food while caring for the environment.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The vision and anticipation of an ever-evolving industry. I’ve always been ahead of my time. My own search and personal development have been guiding our next steps in everything we’ve been involved in. Also as important to me is to keep the focus on the community and how to serve them best, providing the tools, experiences, and education to support their journeys.
