Hi Eddie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I could remember, I always loved clothing. When I was a kid, I would cut up my Mom’s tees all the time. More specifically her band tees — aiming for that grudge look. Growing up, my parents and family members all had their hands in fashion and vintage clothing, naturally, I was inspired.
Living in Miami all of my life, I’m constantly inspired by the people, the food, the music, and the street art. This city has breathed life into what I value most: self-expression through culture and clothing.
Today, I can say I’ve found my rhythm and know what it takes to navigate No Planns in the direction intended. I have No Planns on stopping now.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting your brand from scratch has a lot of challenges.
From guerrilla marketing to learning new platforms, to sourcing quality vendors to produce, to personally financially funding every step, to finding my voice, to just accepting vulnerability— it has not been a smooth road but it has been worth every second.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have over ten years of experience in hospitality, working for some of the top-rated fine-dining restaurants in Miami. I’m proud of how far I’ve come in this industry because it hasn’t been easy. Server by day, No Planns by night.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’m working on being more present, focused, and patient to achieve my dreams while enjoying the hustle. No Planns is a Miami based home grown independent clothing brand that represents those who live free and drive their passions with all fears set aside.
