Today we’d like to introduce you to Romina Remudo.
Hi Romina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, can you give us some background info about yourself?
Hi, thank you for having me. So I embarked on a transformative journey when I moved from Argentina to the USA at the age of 18. Initially, I juggled English lessons in the evening with my daytime job. Over the years, I worked tirelessly to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Florida International University.
Armed with education, I delved into the intricate realms of accounting and finance, accumulating over 15 years of invaluable experience. This professional journey honed my skills, fostering a keen eye for detail, and a strong adherence to deadlines, rules, and procedures.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing the demands of a 9-to-5 job with the responsibilities of motherhood proved to be quite a challenge. Adhering to the fixed hours of a conventional corporate position meant entrusting my children to someone else’s care from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
It dawned on me that this wasn’t the ideal way I envisioned raising my family, so I ventured into providing bookkeeping services privately, to law firms, aiming to curtail the daily hours worked and create a more fulfilling work-life balance.
Thanks – so was that what prompted you to start INK Notary Services, LLC?
Yes. My venture into the world of notary services emerged organically while providing bookkeeping services to a local Law Firm. The concept of becoming a notary public captured my attention, providing an avenue for more independent work.
Upon conducting research, I identified a significant market gap—real estate notarizations were frequently returned to professionals with incomplete or inaccurate information due to the absence of higher education requirements for notary publics.
Motivated by a commitment to precision, and adherence to procedures, and armed with over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, I recognized a substantial opportunity to make a meaningful impact. To bridge this gap, I pursued certification as a notary public.
Throughout the certification process, I educated myself about real estate transactions. Once I received my notary public commission, I became a Certified Loan Signing Agent, laying the foundation for the establishment of INK Notary Services, LLC.
Creating INK Notary Services, LLC was more than just a business venture; it symbolized a commitment to excellence and the belief that every notarization deserves meticulous attention to detail. Nowadays, as we continue to grow and expand, we keep redefining the role of a notary public in the dynamic world of real estate.
