Hi Melissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I originally started my company working as a part-time mobile spray tanner back in 2009 and was one of the original spray tan artists in South Florida. I also loved to self-tan, and my health was also a priority as to what I was putting on my skin. I always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and a dream of mine was to one day launch my Sunless cosmetic brand.
I was working full-time in finance at the time and saved up my money to fund my business journey. In 2014, I hired and worked with a top cosmetic chemist to curate my line of products to provide spray tan artists and beauty professionals with a superior Luxury product. Perfect Glow Sunless was born and is now one of the leading and fastest-growing companies in the Sunless beauty industry! We supply and distribute my Luxury line of Self-Tanning products to beauty pros, salons, spas, estheticians, and hotels all over the world.
I also have one of the top-rated Spray Tan academies and help new businesses and existing spray tan professionals grow their sunless business with instructors across the USA. Since then, I have become a leading Sunless industry expert and a highly regarded educator, mentor, and beauty business coach helping beauty pros worldwide.
A true American dream story, I built my company from the ground up as a 1 woman show. I started by shipping orders out of my guest bedroom on early mornings, nights, and weekends while holding a full-time 9-5 job in the corporate sector. I grew pretty quickly, and I eventually took a leap of faith and left my longtime management position to give this a full-time effort giving up a steady paycheck, benefits, and 401k to follow my dreams.
Our Warehouse HQ is located in Wellington Florida and since starting have expanded to a full sales team, educators and are 5-star rated for the best products and Customer service in the sunless industry.
My entrepreneurial success story & expert tips have been featured in various media outlets such as Forbes.com, The Knot, Skin Inc magazine, and Huffington Post, & had the experience of auditioning for the ABC hit show Shark Tank (Seasons 10 &11).
Perfect Glow Sunless continues to grow at an exponential rate and we also now offer White Label options for our products. This is very popular for beauty brands, medical offices, and boutiques to brand their products at an affordable rate with our top-rated products.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. Some struggles were working with limited funds.
That required me to learn many things on my own such as Marketing, website design, and e-commerce as I could not afford to outsource all of this when starting. Also since I was competing with brands with huge budgets and had to get very creative to get my name out there.
Working 2 jobs for many years while building my brand was very challenging and exhausting at times working 7 days a week. But hard work paid off and I had to learn to take time for self-care and not give up, Slow and steady wins the race was a big belief and motto for me,

Being able to do something I love every day. I have met and mentored countless beauty pros from all over the world and am grateful that my company allows me the opportunity to connect with so many other amazing and hard-working entrepreneurs and beauty professionals.
I am also happy to have the opportunity and platform to be able to help and coach other entrepreneurs on the importance of self-care and help them navigate the challenges that come with owning your own business.
Helping animals in need also makes me very happy. Each month since my brand launched, Perfect Glow Sunless has donated a portion of proceeds to various animal charities and rescues,
