Meet Sarah and Judah Drummond of Tonica Herbal Wellness in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah and Judah Drummond.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Sarah: Wow! I was born and raised in NY to immigrant parents from Israel and Iran. When I was a young girl my father became ill. My mother, a creative pioneer, did everything she could to treat him naturally. Throughout this challenging experience I was exposed to both medical (doctors and hospitals) and natural therapies including Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Herbalism, Nutritional Counseling, Supplementation, Mental/Emotional Counseling, Faith/Spiritual Healing and more. By the time I was a teenager these methods of healing were deeply engrained into me and I began my training journey with some of the top people in each arena. Even the greatest difficulties are meant to make us stronger and wiser. I am most thankful!  The extensive training I acquired spans the fields of psychology, linguistics, herbology, energy healing, kabbalistic healing, and ultimately as a registered nurse. This has allowed me a deep understanding of the inter-dynamics of human functioning, and allows me to brings to practice a completed puzzle of human health inclusive of body, mind, spirit and soul to benefit our clients.

Judah: Well, in brief… I was born and grew up in the countryside of Jamaica. I am a long time Holistic Health Practitioner and Consultant with an extensive knowledge of plants and herbs and the healing properties they possess. My early exposure to the natural and holistic plants and herbs of Jamaica inspired my ongoing passion and contribution to natural health and wellness. At the age of 18 I moved to NY with all of this lifestyle and experience. As people with all types of conditions and concerned approached me for help and guidance, it was Divinely revealed to me that herbal healing and music are my calling and mission in this life!  Through the years, these gifts have only continued to unfold and manifest to best serve our clients. As we sing in one of our songs, Life, “Life is not a destination…It’s more like a journey.”  It has been and continues to be a great one, thankful!  I received my formal holistic health training at Clayton College of Natural Medicine and at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and musically through some of the best in the industry!

Has it been a smooth road?
We are grateful. For the most part our road has been a relatively smooth one. From the time we came to south Florida and established our business here in 2007, we have had a consistent vision and knowing that we have a serious contribution to share. The obstacles we face at times are mostly related to balancing personal and family time with work time and in the area of reaching more and more people with our powerful products and services. Despite minor obstacles and setbacks, we have never looked back, doubted, or been detoured in our mission to keep bringing the blessing of health and wellness to the masses. Every day we see and hear true health miracles related to our products! This is our inspiration and motivation to keep on grooving!  Holistic well-being is what we bring: body mind, spirit and soul. Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love south FL! Coming from the hustle and bustle of NY and the tranquil countryside of Jamaica, here we have the best of both worlds! We can move fast and we can move slow and either way the sun is always shining! We love the creative opportunity of south FL. As long as we have something real to share, people are engaged and responsive and willing to receive it. Possibility is open and available here. People are kind, friendly, health minded and ready to learn. Most of all, we are able to spend a lot of time outdoors with our dear children sharing in the beautiful gifts of G-d through nature.

What we like least is trivial.  Probably the long distances from place to place and the long red traffic lights that have it take even longer to arrive…no big deal especially compared to the traffic and potholes of NY and Jamaica.  We consider it a good time to meditate, think and plan ( like we said earlier, it is most often in the journey where life is created and manifested, whatever time it may take J ).
