Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominick Peri.
Dominick , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After a dozen years of sales and marketing in the wine industry and working as a hotel beverage consultant, I couldn’t resist the energy of the craft movement, its purity, its creativity and genuine desire to bring new creative beer to every town.
I visited San Diego on business in 2014 and fell in love with the brewery scene and knew I had to create a plan to bring a piece of the SoCal beer scene back to South Florida.
There are over 160 breweries in San Diego County and for the first time in history, the number of licensed Craft Breweries operating nationwide is higher than pre-prohibition… more than 6,000 in 2018.
Neighbor and co-founder Ken Gross signed on and we found a young and passionate local home brewer who we decided to give a chance… he has been with us for 8 months and is creating amazing unique beer that is delicious and well received form Miami to Jupiter.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Typical challenges, finding the right location, lead times for equipment in a rapidly expanding industry. Navigating federal, state and local licensing agencies, as well as, construction and permitting, etc.
