Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Joseph.
Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first became an entrepreneur in 2020 providing lash extensions as “MahoganyMinks” in Miami and Tallahassee. I was in Tallahassee attending TCC en route to ignite in the FAMUs Nursing program. That didn’t work out. I felt that my workload didn’t challenge me mentally how I’d like so I dropped out right before Spring finals and came back to Miami to pursue lashing full time.
My family didn’t enjoy this decision but I didn’t let it hinder me or keep me trapped. I enjoyed my role as a business owner but providing the service of lash extensions became a daunting task. So after almost two years, I stopped doing lashes, sold all of my equipment and supplies, and regrouped.
For approximately 2-3 months, I purged a lot of feelings and beliefs. Being an entrepreneur/business owner requires that you address your trauma. If you don’t it will show up in your business. I addressed a lot of the issues I had with lashing. It took some time but I can say I transformed mentally, physically, and spiritually.
During that time, I was also thinking about what my next business should be. My passion in life has always been to help people. So during that time, I had to think of how I can help people in a nontraditional sense. What are people missing or overlooking in their everyday lives that I can provide??
Slowly, I began to piece my thoughts together into one idea. I created our name Zendelic with the help of my middle name. Zendelic means the state of oneness, peace, and tranquility. Which is exactly the energy I wanted to transmute.
Zendelic is a wellness company providing mindful products and services that enrich mind, body, and soul health. At first, I wanted our first products to be candles. But, I decided to hold off until I had enough resources to fully invest in that product.
I got the idea to create a wellness planner after being inspired by an influencer on YouTube. At first, I was trying to make it this big thing with 12 months and aligning it to the current year but that was too much. I scaled it back, focused on what I wanted the objects to be, and created “The 6 Month Planner Dedicated to Peace, Passion, and Purpose”. The dateless wellness planner is filled with affirmations, self-care checklists, monthly overviews, monthly agendas and so much more that can help students, moms, entrepreneurs, career women, and females period stay aligned and accountable.
I incorporated everything that helped me on my healing journey and put it in book form. When I first created The PPP Planner I was focused on solely selling the product. But now I’m more focused on sharing my journey and bringing the value ZENDELIC and The PPP Planner add to life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My entrepreneurial and healing journey go hand in hand. I wouldn’t be able to successfully bring my vision to life unless I addressed the things that were hindering my mindset.
I took the time out to improve my mental health. My mental health has always been good but I had to change the way I thought. How I thought about clients, myself, my confidence, my purpose, and how I take care of myself.
Financially starting a business can prove to be challenging. Starting I didn’t have a job. I had to use my skills to generate income. Becoming financially literate and responsible was another challenge. I had to adjust my horrible money mindset. I went from a scarcity mindset that revolves around bills and lacks to an abundance mindset dedicated to being responsible and intentional spending.
Another struggle for me was my confidence. I’ve always been confident but being an entrepreneur you need a different level of confidence. I had to learn to love myself bare in my natural state. Enjoy my voice and be confident enough to show up. I was always the type to want to be behind the scenes.
But now I’m able to make content with my face in it because now I genuinely love myself and I’m fully confident in what I’m saying and what I offer. This is one of my most prideful accomplishments because I did a complete 360 from who I used to be.

So I’m able openly and wholesomely represent ZENDELIC and myself in a relatable and accurate format. Our realness, openness, and purpose set us apart. There might be other self-care/wellness planners and journals but they can’t compare to Zendelics experience. We’re wired differently.
Different yet familiar. Making us the perfect blend. I am most proud of how we communicate. Before I would be afraid or didn’t know what to say. Now that I’m confident in myself and Zendelic I can communicate better and connect with more people.
