Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniella Patino.
Hi Daniella, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started modeling a few years ago doing gigs for local artists in my city. My passion for this industry grew when I began modeling merchandise for small businesses, doing castings for photo/video shoots, and promoting these collaborations on social media. Once I was getting booked more frequently, I realized I can turn my passion into my own modeling and marketing business.
My purpose is to model and promote for business exposure. I am now offering these services through my Instagram account. I’ve also modeled music videos for credible independent artists (such as The Outlawz, J Stalin, Aktual, Gutta Twins, etc.) with high views on YouTube.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Aside from modeling, I am also employed in different fields. I work in the nightclub/restaurant industry, and I am a backup nurse for a doctor’s office. For the past decade, I’ve always juggled more than one job, and at times even 3 jobs.
Investing time in my business has really been a struggle with multiple employment but I try my best to plan around my work schedule. Self-discipline, motivation, and hunger for a brighter future is the key to staying focused on building yourself as an independent model with no agency contract, especially in this competitive entertainment industry.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am excited to say that in the next couple of months, I will be launching my business officially on social media since I have recently made it an LLC! My services generally include modeling along with promotion for music video productions, castings, brand merchandising, social media growth, and business exposure.
This is an accomplishment I am very proud of because I never knew that doing what I love can be transformed into income! I have come a long way since I started. From a shy, self-cautious girl to a confident, ambitious businesswoman. Everything I have achieved is because Christ gave me the grace to come out of my shell and live to my fullest potential.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I was born and raised in the city of Fort Lauderdale. Anyone who grew up in Broward County knows that the Swap Shop used to have the best circus shows in the 90s. I have fond memories of going to the circus with family and going on the elephant rides, then going on the Ferris wheel with my cousins and eating street corn on the cob while shopping at the flea market. I cherish my childhood memories so much because I actually enjoyed every bit of it, especially before technology kicked in.
