Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Voight.
Hi Valentina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hi, my name is Valentina! I‘m 25, born in Colombia, and now live in Miami. I’m a lingerie designer, business owner, and so many other things in between. My favorite things are the color pink and storytelling, which is heavily included in the branding process for Voight–my first business.
The idea of starting a lingerie brand first came to me when I decided to drop out of college. Ironically, this had been my plan B. But then in 2019, only a year after moving back home, the Voight brand was officially launched. With a small (but perfect) team and no funds, we started by just selling hoop earrings. Then, 3 years later–with no investors or mentors––Voight became a multimillion-dollar brand based in Miami, FL, with a team of 8.
Voight has now released 13 collections. Every collection comes in custom packaging, with custom hardware, and custom prints. We focus on the quality and presentation of our products with every drop, exceeding every expectation customers have when shopping online.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I would say the main challenge was the pandemic. It brought many delays, lost packages, cancellation of planned events, changing marketing ideas due to lockdowns, and the overall uncertainty of where the brand was heading.
Another challenge has been sizing. Before I started designing lingerie, I didn’t know how complex bra sizing was or how many brands have failed at it. Boobs come in all different shapes and sizes, so finding the perfect fit for each one has been a challenge–but, not impossible to overcome.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Voight specializes in lingerie, swimwear, and women’s apparel. We are most known for our lingerie designs, over-the-top packaging, and storytelling marketing. We also offer sex toys cute enough to be decor, tech items, and jewelry. But, overall, I’m most proud of the sense of community we have created amongst women.
