Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, there!!! I’m Thaina Reynoso, owner, and creator of DayDreaming Events & Décor Inc. I started about 15 years ago, in a very small capacity. I would decorate events and gatherings for a church I was a part of. In addition, I would decorate parties for my friends. But things really took off, when I had my first child and I would decorate their birthday parties to be unforgettable. I realized how passionate and motivated I was to doing events like this. How I can come up with an idea and make it come to life. Then when I got married, and I planned the entire thing and it came out flawless, I suddenly realized, I wanted to get into the weddings arena. I realized I was a hopeless romantic and always fall victim to a great love story. Weddings always had a special place in my heart. Coordinating a wedding, putting it together, to make it an unforgettable moment for a couple was an idea a girl can only dream of. And here I am, making those dreams come true.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been obstacle free but it has been surprisingly smooth. The obstacles I mostly face are the diversity and the many other great planners out there. It has been smooth because I love a challenge. So when I get a client, I learn their vision and get to work, making sure I make their vision come to life. In addition the other big obstacle is balancing work and family. It’s specially hard in this field of event planning because you work on weekends and nights and being a mom of 3, I try to balance my work with family life.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was born in Brazil but moved to South Florida at the age of 5. Coming to a new country and learning a new language and adjusting to a new culture was very difficult. However, I had a very loving and supportive family growing up and had an amazing childhood. In addition, I made a lot of new lifelong friends that I’m still friends with till today.
I was very involved in school and church activities, as a teenager, I would help organize all the church events, which is where I found my love for event planning and decorating.
