Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Moore.
Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Well, JMeaux Tax Service started in 2018. In 2017, I was falsely accused and then went to jail in September 2017. So, for a year I had a friend to speak life to me because after I was released from jail I went through a depression stage, I had just lost absolutely everything (car & home). So, I decided to start JMeaux Tax Service because a friend of mine kept saying, “Jess, I feel like you should start doing taxes meaning starting a business”.
Coming up I was doing taxes just for fun but had no intentions of starting a business. Then, I started doing research, and research then turned into a 6 figure business over the years. May I add I was a high school dropout? During the pandemic, I decided to go back to school to obtain my GED and graduated with a 4.0. JMeaux Tax Service is currently located in 6 different states with Florida being one of our biggest states, JMeaux Tax Service is located in Haines City, FL with my business partner.
At JMeaux Tax Service, we teach other individuals how to start a tax business and gain financial freedom within 4 months. 2022, was the year we made over $200k+ in sales. We decided to teach others the ropes of getting started, etc. So, to give back to my community in Louisiana I host a splash day in the park or a school supply giveaway to show that I never forget where I come from
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
NO. This has not. From the difficult things going on with the IRS not releasing funds in a timely manner. I am okay with the customers harassing me but I can reassure them that I will help them with collecting their funds. Even, during the off-peak season, I still have clients that reach out to me to complete their taxes. My clients are my least worry when it comes to struggling. Its the IRS that gives us the most problems,
As you know, we’re big fans of JMeaux Tax Service LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We built this business solely on helping others create 5-6 figure businesses within a matter of 4 months. I started a mentorship program to show my partners that I am here to help them every step of the way. What set me apart from others? Because we are the cheapest in AMERICA in general haha! We offer help to not only our customers but our partners as well. I remember when I started with a company that did not offer help to business partners, they overlooked those that didn’t make much in 4 months.
When they realized I was revamping they offered me to become a service bureau. Yet, I didn’t accept because I knew that what the new year was bringing in didn’t allow me to be a part of them anymore. So, with my business, I sell the tax software, then mentor whoever purchases my software year-round for a reasonable price. When one wins we all win.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Oh, I was smart in school. In my SR year, I had to drop out of school because of a tumor on my spinal cord. But I was definitely the smart, goofy, lovable person coming up. I wasn’t a problem child, I use to always love being around my grandmother until she passed in 2015. I was the child that dropped out of school to help my mom raise her children. However, nothing stopped me from being who I am today. I LOVE being outside and learning new things.
