Rising Stars: Meet Igor Grager

Today we’d like to introduce you to Igor Grager.

Hi Igor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am thankful and blessed to have been a part of the finance and real estate industry for almost two decades. I began right before the market crash of 2008. I witnessed how the market crash affected so many people close to my heart, professionals I worked with, clients, as well as people within the industry, and this is something that I carry within me on a daily basis. The knowledge I have learned throughout the years and witnessing the trends of the market has tremendously assisted me in my success today. With that being said, the road was not easy. Most people during that time left the industry and switched to other professions. Due to my ambition, dedication, never give up mindset, and most importantly my support system, I was encouraged by what had occurred and due to my natural human nature to help others, I was motivated more than ever to build a brand that puts clients needs, wants and protection above all. Initially having a mortgage backroad is what set me apart from most individuals in my industry. Being a mortgage professional for many years, I referred all of my real estate business to my partners.

Time after time all I saw was the lack of service and experience that was provided to my clients. This is when I made the decision to pursue my real estate career. I received my agent’s license and followed it by becoming a broker. I hold myself to a very high standard of honesty, integrity, transparency and client satisfaction. When those expectations are not matched by others involved in a transaction, most often than not it leads to deals falling through. I always go the extra mile whether it is the extra phone call to the HOA, or that extra fifteen minutes spent on the phone with a client explaining and answering all the questions, talking to the lenders and the underwriters is what makes a difference in all transactions, having knowledge in dealing with all types of purchases and lending options is what makes me who I am today. Whether it is working with first-time home buyers, relocating families to their new home, foreign national buyers, investors, dealing with residential and commercial, financing, and refinancing, I work well with everyone, I am a go-getter, natural-born leader and great negotiator!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road was definitely far from smooth and not easy at all. Relocating my family to South Florida almost ten years ago from California was a huge adjustment. The mortgage and real estate business was quite different. The relaxed environment, culture, and the work ethic in Florida was shocking however, extremally motivating. It took time to make a name for myself, prove myself and this is something I continue to work towards every day of my life. My biggest struggle in Florida has been the mid-set. Being raised in Californian and moving at a speed of light was a huge adjustment to make. In the beginning, it felt like everything was conducted at a slower speed. No one was in a hurry to get anything done. Within the time I surrounded myself with a team and partners that work at my speed and with my dedication and ambition.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a Broker’s Agent with Iconic Luxury Realty, we are able to do a lot of off market deals, commercial and residential. It is very interesting to find that even in today’s sellers market we have been able to get top dollar for our sellers doing more off market deals. I specialize in assisting my clients with purchasing, selling, and renting in South Florida. As a Mortgage Loan Officer with Iconic Mortgage, I specialize in purchases, refinancing for primary homes, secondary homes, rental properties, investment properties, commercial real estate, hard money loans, bank statement programs, foreign national programs, DSCR programs, and Non-QM, 30-year fixed mortgages, 15-year fixed loans, Adjustable-Rate Mortgage, Construction loans, VA loans, FHA loans, USDA Loans, and Jumbo Loans. I am most proud of my mortgage and finance background, due to this, I have been very successful in navigating my buyers and sellers in regards to getting offers accepted and fast smooth closings. Two things that matter most to people is how much and what it is costing them. Being able to provide the highest profit with a reasonable cost is the difference I bring to the table. My ability to accomplish this is what sets me apart from others. Unlike most in our sunshine state, I am able to deliver on what I say. I am a one-stop-shop offering my services in property management as well.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is the time I spent growing up with my twin brother in Odessa, Ukraine. We always dreamed of making it big in America, the land of opportunities. We come from a family that did not have the financial ability to provide us with what we wanted, however, our parents did all they could to give us what we needed. It has always been a goal of mine to give back to my parents for all the sacrifices they did for us. I believe that is what made me appreciate what life has to offer more. It made me want more, strive for more, never give up and always work hard. Being able to get my clients what they need and want, seeing them happy, filled with joy, and smile from ear to ear is what makes everything I do worth it. Owning a home is the true American dream and being a part of that for the family I work with is the biggest joy to me.
