Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosanne Calabrese.
Rosanne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I had been a firefighter for several years when my father passed away from heart disease. He was only 65 years old and I felt incredibly sad and enormously frustrated that someone could die so young from such a preventable disease. I knew that the medical system was completely broken and that the answers to healing heart disease were much safer and more simplistic than drugs, stents, and surgery.
As my grief diminished, my resolve to help others who suffered from chronic degenerative diseases grew. I decided to go back to college and get a degree in natural therapies. I chose Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. This degree and state license allowed me to perform acupuncture, tui na, herbal therapies, homeopathy and nutritional therapies with my patients. I left the fire department in 2002 and opened my practice.
I named it Partners in Healing because I felt that a doctor should not have the last word on the patient’s therapy. I felt it that treatment options should be thoroughly discussed and health decisions should be agreed upon by the practitioner as well as the patient. This premise has been wonderfully accepted by the community allowing Partners in Healing to become a well known and respected healing center where the patient always comes first. We are proud to have a team of diverse practitioners who share this mindset.
This is my absolute passion and I am honored to be able to go to work, week after week, to help others achieve their optimal level of health with love and compassion.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe that it has been the right road, neither too smooth nor too bumpy. We must travel through the lovely landscape as well as the icy roads to become stronger and wiser.
If you have a clear vision about what you want and a true desire to do something that will contribute positively to the community, then the obstacles you encounter will likely not be more than you can handle.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Partners in Healing – what should we know?
Partners in Healing is a holistic healing center specializing in acupuncture, herbal therapy, cellular detoxification and rejuvenation, iridology, chiropractic care, deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage, tuina, cranial sacral therapy and sound and color therapy.
I am an acupuncture physician and a detox specialist. I am known for using these modalities to address a multitude of health issues including autoimmune diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, infertility, and many other disorders. I believe I am most known for reversing diseases (especially thyroid disease) through cellular detoxification and rejuvenation. This is chronicled in my book C.U.R.E. Cultivating Unlimited Rejuvenating Energy.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The most important quality for success as a holistic practitioner is love and passion for helping people. I do not believe you can be a successful healthcare practitioner without caring deeply about others.
This profession is not about money or glory, it is about my love of humanity and a passion to guide. And teach others how to achieve optimal health, naturally and holistically for themselves and their families. It is about touching people’s lives and leaving the world in a better place than before.
