Hi Neffie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This is such a loaded question! I always find this question to be the hardest because where do I start?
When I was in high school, I was a part of the Global Business and Entrepreneurship magnet program at Palm Beach Gardens High School. Students in this program are prepared with the business skills necessary to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders in the global marketplace. Although I was heavily involved during high school, being a part of this program didn’t come full circle for me until about two years ago.
I attended the University of Central Florida where I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Human Communications with a minor in Sports Business Management. I then went on to graduate with my Masters in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. At this point, I had worked in sports at the collegiate, professional, and non-profit levels. Amidst the pandemic, I even had a small stint in healthcare. During this time, there was a desire in my spirit for more. Having experienced a shift in career, I decided to make another pivot. This time, it was going after my new goal of starting my own business. I decided to take a combination of my various experiences over the years, the network I had developed, my education, and expertise to use it to build something of my own. With prayers, encouragement, and love from my family and friends, Neff Level Planning & Events was born!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
LOL. I wish I could say this has been a smooth road. There has been nothing smooth about it! But I am learning a lot and it has only challenged me to be better. A lot of times, I hear people saying to “trust the process”, but I think the second part of that should be to “EMBRACE the process”. This has been important to my journey on the good, bad, and in between days.
My biggest struggle along the way has to do with anxiety, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome. It has kept me confined, complacent, and uncertain many days but I have reminded myself to remember the facts when those thoughts start to pop in. If everyone around me believes in me and the business keeps coming in, why can’t I believe in myself? Once I stopped allowing fear, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome to hold me back, I tapped into my full potential.

At Neff Level Planning & Events, I help my clients develop clear-focused ideas, initiatives, and activities that result in successful event planning, business development, and project management. I work proactively to assess and identify risks and growth opportunities for clients while setting realistic goals and action plans to ensure overall efficiency, quality, improvement and execution. In short, I specialize in results. I am known for my creativity and ability to execute and convert!
What sets me apart from others would be my expertise. I have done quite a lot in my career that lends to my versatility which helps my business and clients. Aside from event planning, business development, and project management, I have worked in education, healthcare, non-profits, social media, even content creation as a blogger, you name it, I have probably done it 🙂
One of the things I am most proud of brand-wise is that my clients and network trust me. Credibility goes a long way in this business. This paired with my ability to help achieve results has been a sure win! I also just recently released a limited edition Level Up 2022 Planner. When I launched my business, I did not plan on offering wedding planning/coordination as a service….but never say never. I am not limiting myself or my business!
