Hi Megan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We opened our little shop nearly six years ago and haven’t looked back since! I simply wanted to open a boutique that catered towards the boho, effortless and easy-going bride. There was nothing like it in Fort Lauderdale and we have had hundreds of brides find their dream dress with us since.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Is the road ever perfectly smooth? Opening a brick & mortar as a first-time small business owner certainly was not easy! After finding the perfect space in Fort Lauderdale, obtaining all of the proper licenses and a registered fire extinguisher (who knew you needed that to open a store!) we remodel and designed the space of our dreams with the help of our family and friends.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are simply put; a no-frills, easy going bridal boutique that carries a carefully curated selection of designer gowns and accessories. We love princesses in movies but not in the real world. We believe you should do you and you only on your wedding day. We’re most proud to represent the alternative bridal world in this community we love so much. We truly believe we are different because we offer a very personalized experience; each bridal appointment is a private one-on-one experience, intimate, equipped with special goodies.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk is scary! But necessary. The biggest risk we’ve taken within our business is bringing on and investing in up incoming international designers. We are committed to offering original and unique designs to our brides and always will be.
