Today we’d like to introduce you to Alessandro Rivera.
Hi Alessandro, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am 18 years old and I have been an automotive photographer for two years. I have participated in private events such as The 2021 Castle Shoot, Azzurro Pagani, Dream Ride, Exotics on Las Olas, Audrain and Greenwich Concours and Concorso Ferrari. Through the past year, I have gathered a group of fellow enthusiasts and helped create a new car group in the northeast. Working with real estate moguls and automotive collectors, I have grown my brand, Cars of Connecticut, that I started just a year and a half ago. I am looking forward to continuing my hobbies and business in the real estate and automotive world and expanding my brand further around the country. I am centrally located in Connecticut but have worked in areas of Florida, New York, and Rhode Island for both private and public events. I am looking to take the next year to further expand my brand and to pursue new goals that go beyond photography including real estate investment and more public relations for my company.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road. The first month of my journey began very slow, with less than 50 people viewing what I had to offer. I stepped up my game and got out of my comfort zone, talking to as many high-end clients and contacts that I made friends over the past years. It has been a long journey of many ups and downs, but last year I made a breakthrough that got me contacts into private events around the country and allowed me to expand my brand to new heights in Florida as well. I have made it my mission to ensure that I can expand my brand as far as I want to in order to get the most feedback and value that I can… it may take many years, but I can only start from where I am now and continue to grow.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cars of Connecticut?
I have always been into the wonders of the automotive industry, so around two years ago, I decided to make that into a business, Cars of Connecticut. It was rough starting out, being like every other little person that wanted to start something and to get it to catch on immediately. But with lots of work and marketing, talking to as many people up in the automotive world that I could, I was able to get the clients that I needed to start up. Flashing forward to today, I have attended dozens of private and public events for releases, special clients, shows, and concours around the country and have made it my goal to show as many people as I can the wonders of the automotive world. From technical standpoints and from just stepping back and taking a look, I show the little and big things in the industry through my website and social media and to show the secrets behind some of the biggest collections hidden deep in areas around the country. From photography to event planning and public relations, I do a little bit of everything within the car community all under the brand, Cars of Connecticut.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always an ecstatic kid. Ever since I was young, I was always into sports and automobiles, which today go hand in hand. Always playing a sport or working with, my dad taught me all that I know today, from a photography standpoint and just the basic understandings of the automotive standpoint, I was always learning and still am to this very day. I was always willing to learn something new and still learn new things everyday, so I guess I haven’t changed one bit.
