Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet Robbins.
Janet, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I did not start this journey till I was in my late 30’s. I come from a restaurant background & was a stay at home mom. I needed a change so I enrolled in the Florida college of natural health where I received my license for a facial specialist. I did not stop there and I did not start out to have two offices but as the opportunities presented themselves It just evolved. We are a teaching facility as well as a small wellness center. My passion is educating students & clients as well.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
To be honest I never really thought of it as a challenge, I just put 1 foot in front of the other and kept going. I have been extremely blessed to have had many mentors along the way. Word of mouth has grown our practice, so if I had to choose one challenge I would say it would be the whole social media arena. Advertising is not what it used to be.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Reflections Laser & Wellness Center story. Tell us more about the business.
Our business is based on honesty and realistic services our goal is to provide our clients with a good understanding in layman’s terms of the services they are requesting. Earning our clients trust is our number one priority. Providing a family atmosphere and not treating our clients like they are just a number. I feel this is what makes us unique. Our services include anti-aging skin care, laser hair removal, Botox fillers, PRP, permanent makeup and bio-identical hormone replacement but we are best known for our antiaging skincare and laser hair removal.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I have been extremely lucky to have industry leaders Guide me through this journey. The day I met Christine Heathman CEO of GlyMed Plus my life changed she taught me the science of skin and was the biggest influence in my career.
