Today we’d like to introduce you to Scot Drucker. He shared his story with us below:
After spending more than a decade in the professional sports industry, Scot joined looking to turn his passion for baseball and his love of his hometown into a successful real estate career. “Growing up here in Miami I’ve had the privilege of watching my city grow and become a sought after destination for celebrities and sports figures alike.”

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Transitioning to real estate after being in sports for 20 years was a big jump. Luckily having built strong relationships across the globe and keeping in touch with former teammates, friends, and colleagues has allowed me to succeed. The first two years of real estate are always the toughest and I recall the real estate teachers telling me that many don’t succeed and can’t fiscally do it. I am now in year five and are seeing the fruits of my labor and hard work paying off.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a luxury real estate advisor, I specialize in helping clients buy, sell, or invest in their properties around South Florida. Being a part of the Compass Sports/Entertainment division I also have a unique speciality to work with professional athletes and entertainers. Building the relationships with their agents, financial advisors, and business managers is the key to gaining their trust and getting their business. Having been in the players shoes before I have a great understanding of what the clients are looking for when they get drafted or traded to a South Florida team. Not only am I able to take the weight off of their shoulders in finding a home, I am also a guide for them to the trendy restaurants, shopping, or outdoor activities for them to be comfortable in their new city. As most who know me, know I am a huge sneaker collector so you can always find me helping a current or former client find the latest footwear around the city as well.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
After playing professional baseball and living all across the globe from NYC, to Scottsdale, to LA, to Taiwan, I always found myself loving Miami the most. The diverse culture of people is really what attracts me. People from all walks of life come here to party, vacation, or eventually move to live here. We welcome them all. Whether it’s for the weather, beaches, or tax purposes, Miami has so much to offer.
As we are growing so rapidly, the infrastructure is a little behind with traffic patterns. We are seeing some of that take effect faster than most would like though. That would be the only thing I do not love about the city. Some may also complain about the rain in the summer. I always say if you don’t like it, just wait 15 minutes and it will be gone.
