Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel Alexis.
Hi Ariel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a proud Haitian who was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Raised by both of my parents, I grew up in a family of 12 siblings of four brothers and eight sisters. Having a huge family has always been the biggest motivation because all of my older siblings are super successful in their business and careers. I just graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University December 2020. Being called the beauty guru of my family, I fell in love with makeup and very young age and started my YouTube channel back in 2014.
On my channel, you’ll find things from: makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, Unboxing new products, get ready with me, and so much more. I just officially became a YouTube partner January of this year and I am so excited to see my channel grow and for me to continue working on my passion. Because of my love for beauty I decided to start my business a Berry Fae Beauty 🍓 which I launched last year July 19, 2020 on my birthday. I sell products such as liquid lipsticks, lip glosses, edge wraps, lip liners, and highlighters.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I wish I could say it was easy but it has been hard. Graduating top of my class has always been the goal; however one of the biggest challenges I faced was passing my teacher certification. In total, I spent over $1200 in testing fees, failing not once, not twice but three different times. It pushed me back, graduating almost two years behind. However, I knew God had a plan for me and I never gave up. I officially Pass all sections of my certification January 7, 2020, and graduated the end of that year due to Covid, which ultimately led me to graduate in my living room instead of walking the stage, which I always dreamed of.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
One of the best ways I like to describe me is ‘A Lady who loves all things beauty’. I’m very big on make-up and skin care as well as getting my hair done nails done. I love to support small/black-on businesses.
Anywhere I place my money, I do it to not only support my fellow entrepreneurs, but also to get my followers to also support them as well!
I’m very intentional with what I post on my social media‘s because I do want to uplift, inspire and recommend the best for all of my followers.
