Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Tanner.
Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Tanner.
Hi Danielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Being the daughter of a renowned architectural photographer, I grew up assisting my father on photoshoots all over the world. I learned at an early age to appreciate different architectural styles, interiors and entrepreneurial grit. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the Art Institute, I went on to gain valuable work experience in the field, working with South Florida’s top design talent.
It was in 2013 that I launched my own company, Tanner Interiors, a boutique luxury design firm. Within the past 8 years, I have designed award-winning projects and worked with wonderful clients with projects located from the Florida Keys to New York.
I have the pleasure of working alongside my father, as he creates the images of the projects I design.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As a small business owner, you are always faced with obstacles and every design project comes with its own set of hurdles. I try to maintain a level head and learn from every mistake.
The biggest challenge I faced was starting a family and trying to maintain a work-life balance. I know I’m not the only working woman who constantly faces this, but luckily, I was able to create a support system to help with that balance. It’s not perfect, but a work in progress.
As you know, we’re big fans of Tanner Interiors. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Tanner Interiors is a luxury boutique interior design firm specializing in new construction residences and full-scale renovations in the Palm Beaches. We offer concierge level services to our clients, with the utmost attention to detail on every project.
We only take on a handful of projects each year to ensure to our clients our commitment to their project. Cultivating relationships with our clients is of key importance. We believe every project is a team effort between the architect, builder and designer.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
With the pandemic, we have seen a seismic shift in the importance of the home. With more and more people relocating and renovating we are seeing that people want their environments to encompass areas of entertainment and wellness. Home theaters, large luxury master bathrooms complete with sauna’s and home gyms are becoming more popular in-home designs.
