Today we’d like to introduce you to Anivain Marius.
Hi Anivain, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My brother-in-law, John Darius, came to me and asked what can we do to help our community’s health issue. I had been diagnosed with Covid and we realized how few people knew the importance of having a vitamin regimen. We wanted to help people access quality vitamins at an affordable price and Nature’s Clear was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road was not smooth. We faced many challenges. We are both successful businessmen and have built strong businesses before. This was a whole new world. We had to invest hundreds of hours in research and building relationships in this industry. We’ve been doubted at every step of this journey. Coming into this as young black business owners – we’re not the typical wellness CEO’s the world is used to seeing. We’ve had to earn the credibility and trust of our customers and our colleagues at every turn. the truth is starting any business is never easy but it’s worth it when you truly believe in your mission. What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
John and I had to become resilient, persistent, and determined. We faced many challenges securing a spot on the largest e-commerce platforms. One of the big boys even rejected us initially. But we didn’t give up. We appealed the decision and fought hard to share our mission with them – to help them understand why Nature’s Clear is so important. After understanding more about our product quality and commitment to the community we were approved. That’s why it is important to never give up.
