Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Montero.
Hi Jason, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
All journeys are filled with twists, turns, ups & downs, obstacles, and victories. I like to think the path my journey has led me to today was led by finding my true self. Not long ago in 2016, I was voted the nation’s runner up for National Pharmaceutical Rep of the Year and was the National Sales Director for a family-built multi-million dollar pharmaceutical wholesaler. At a young age, I was able to achieve a lot in the corporate world, but shortly after having my firstborn child and taking a remote position while on paternity leave, I quickly watched my views on my work-life change. I wanted to embark on my own my own journey to become an entrepreneur and secure the freedom to do the things I valued most in life.
Today I am the proud owner of four business all located in and around the Kendall area. Unbelieveabowl is a smoothie bar + acai eatery priding ourselves off fresh fruits daily; we are located in the heart of West Kendall. In Da Cut Smoke Shop, located in the Bird Road Arts District next to Lincolns, Beard Brewery has grown to a Westchester community staple a great place to unwind drink a beer and smoke a cigar! Of course, we also own Wholesale RX Group, which is still involved in the wholesale distribution of medical products internationally. Last but not least, my latest project, which had always been my dream Jay’s Marine. Boating and fishing has been my hobby since as far back as I can remember. Family rumor is that my parents took me out on the boat a few weeks after I was born or maybe the fact I lived in Country Walk but was born in Mount Sinai by the water. Jay’s Marine is here to keep fisherman catching fish and boaters on the water. All in all, having so many moving parts is not by any means easy at all. We have an amazing team of partners, mentors, and employees that help achieve all we achieve; We hope to build a legacy in our community not only to make a set an example but to make a difference. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In my opinion, no road worth traveling on should be smooth. To me, struggles are lessons we have to adjust to and be prepared for. I have definitely had my fair share of speed bumps along the way. But perspective can change your view on anything, and well, adversity is success’s best quality.

Jays Marine was carefully built over slowly, gathering knowledge and experience of South Florida’s fisheries and boating community. The ocean has always been escape from the everyday hustle of American life. At Jays Marine, we decided to give all anglers and boaters a home. I would say a surprising fact about my journey was that my life plan was to work in law enforcement. But shortly after graduating high school, I decided to change my path as I began to discover my love for business.
