Community Highlights: Meet Lena Wilson of REAL Inspiration, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lena Wilson

Hi Lena, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From facing an unexpected layoff, to losing both my parents to cancer and dealing with a devastating divorce, I know firsthand what it’s like to move from stuck to shining with purpose. As an Author, Transformation Life Coach and Inspiration Speaker, helping other women win and heal is more important than any title or accolades one could give me. I am passionate about seeing women move from a state of brokenness to a realm of breakthrough.

In 2013, after recovering from a series of painful life-changing events and transforming my own life, I became a Certified Life Coach and launched a platform on Facebook called “Passion to Encourage” simply because I had a heart to uproot others who were hurting and stuck in pain. Shortly thereafter, I launched my business where I currently serve as the CEO of REAL Inspiration, LLC. The company name REAL comes from the first letters of my family’s first names- my daughter Rachel, my husband Everton And Lena. It’s important for me to build a legacy while fulfilling God’s assignment for my life.

In my book, “Broken Hearts Still Shine”, I share my personal story of triumph and how I overcame rejection and heartbreak. I love inviting others to join me on the journey to heal, grow and become their best selves and live their best lives.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path came with many challenges: Grieving the loss of my dad in 2008 and the loss of mom in 2014 after they both lost their battles with cancer, was very difficult. Grief is a difficult process and it took time to learn how to cope with the pain of missing their physical presence. I never stop missing them, but I cherish every lesson and every memory.

Additionally, I was devastated after my divorce. I lost confidence in myself and my faith was truly challenged. I faced the deepest form of rejection and some days it hurt to breathe. My self-esteem plummeted. I wore the mask of a smile that hid the shame I felt on the inside. I felt like a failure and the pain of it all, kept me stuck for a moment. I struggled to move forward. In that season, I forgot the value of my voice. I felt alone and isolation felt safe. It felt like God had forgotten about me although He never left my side. My daughter was only 10 months old at the time of my marital separation. I was heartbroken, mentally exhausted and emotionally drained. However, I had to find the strength and resilience to be a good mother to our beautiful baby girl. She deserved to have a mother who was healed and whole. I had to find the courage to reclaim my identity and do the inner work to heal. I had to learn to walk in a deeper level of faith and a higher level of self-love. I had to forgive others as well as forgive myself. The journey to healing was not easy, but it was necessary. Whatever hardships you may be facing at this moment, know that God is faithful and He heals and restores.

We’ve been impressed with REAL Inspiration, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand is based on the core values of faith, authenticity, integrity and compassion. We focus on inner healing, transformation and purposeful living.

The heart of REAL Inspiration LLC is about empowering women to find the courage to confront the limiting beliefs and/or behaviors that are holding them back from living a life of true joy, peace and purpose. We believe that in order to move your life forward, you must actively participate in your own rescue. No one can do the work for you. We also believe that women should not suffer in silence and it’s okay to be in faith and seek therapy simultaneously. You can’t fully heal from what you are not willing to confront. We create a safe and supportive space for women to experience healing and transformation through practical tools and strategies. Our message is about helping women realize that despite life’s disappointments and heartbreaks, they still have the power to rise above every adversity. While a broken heart may be part of your story, it is not the end of your story. We don’t have to settle for a life that doesn’t fulfill us. We have the power to create and enjoy meaningful lives that we love. We all have a story and woven within those stories are beautiful traits of grace, grit, resilience and hope.

I teach women how to adopt a winning mindset to believe for greater than what their eyes may currently see. I empower them to heal from the scars and fear of rejection, that often cause them to settle for less and engage in cycles of broken belief systems. I coach women to find the courage to reclaim their true identity and self-worth.

As a Speaker, I love inspiring others on the following topics: Self-Love and Knowing Your Worth, Overcoming the Scars and Fear of Rejection, Being Your Authentic Self Unapologetically, Healing from Within and Finding Freedom in Forgiveness.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Yes, I want every woman to know that they can experience joy and peace after experiencing heartbreak. Your value doesn’t change after a breakup or divorce. You are still beautiful and worthy of receiving God’s best. It is possible to start over and rewrite your life as often as you desire. You don’t have to settle for a life of mediocrity or a life of barely enough. You are worthy of receiving and achieving so much more. Believe in yourself, love yourself well, tap into your greatest potential and never dim your light to make others comfortable. Keep shining!
