Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Campbell Timberlake
Hi Sierra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am Sierra Campbell Timberlake, Owner of Handy Sisi Travels LLC. Credentials are as followed: B.S. In Molecular Cellular Biology, minor in chemistry at Florida A & M University, Clinical Laboratory Science Degree at South West Georgia Tech, Ammunition Specialist Degree at Air Force University and Pending Graduation Masters Public Administration at Barry University. The Handy Sisi Travels Brand, is a multi-faceted business with two components: Event Venue/Party Planning and the Travel and DIY (Blog and Videos). The business is located in the city of West Park formally known as Carver Ranches Florida. A vast majority of my family and friends, live within this historically African-American enclave. Over the last decade, I have attained a plethora of formal training and travel in the civilian and military sectors. These travel experiences and exposures to diverse cultures, board rooms settings, community events and engagements; highlighted the need to create a unique affordable venue for the local community. In many instances, upgrading a property can become costly. However, with “Handy” and DIY skills passed down a lineage from my grandmother, I created a beautiful venue to rent for events (parties, special occasions, stay-cations, showers, brunches and more). My love of community, travel, DIY projects and hosting events led to the creation of Handy Sisi Travels LLC.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Obstacles are inevitable in the creation of a new business. The way in which we process and learn from these hurdles is what makes a stronger business which can stand the test of time. The largest struggle is common. Hiring the right individuals to assist as the business expands.

Handy Sisi Travels LLC specialty resides in venue rentals. The focal point outdoor patio, trimmed with string lights, Tropical landscaping and newly added photo prop swing. The venue is always enhancing the experience with upgrades and add-ons to create a secluded and special event for all.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important characteristics to my success is compassion. True care and compassion for my local community. I hope my venue will give everyone an equal chance to enjoy events, parties, and special occasions in a safe, luxurious location at an affordable price. Special occasions at the Handy Sisi Travels venue, can foster an environment that promotes joy, happiness and meaningful connections.
