Today we’d like to introduce you to Corwin Cowart.

Hi Corwin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out as an executive chef of a couple of country clubs and a wine bar, and after working for other companies for so long, I decided it was time to start working towards my own business. In 2010, I started working small catering jobs on the side and I was eventually given an ultimatum by the company I was working for. Essentially, I had to decide to quit my side catering jobs or quit their job, and in the end, I chose my side catering jobs. From that point on, I started Corwin’s Personal Chef and Catering Services and the company has been growing ever since.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I’ve definitely had some ups and downs like any business starting off, but for the most part, it’s been smooth sailing. Ever since the company became large enough to need its own kitchen, our clientele has been growing. Even during the pandemic, we got creative and opened a takeout business, started providing meals for “Meals of Love,” and now provide even more personal chef services than before the pandemic hit. No matter what is happening at the time, I always try to make lemonade out of the lemons that have been thrown my way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about who helped you along the way?

Corwin’s Personal Chef and Catering services definitely would not be where it is today without the love and support of my family and the dedication of my team. I was lucky enough to find the right team members early on, and without them, Corwin’s Personal Chef and Catering Services wouldn’t be where it is today. I found dedicated, talented chefs and servers who created the experience we pride ourselves on- high quality cuisine and hight quality service.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory has to be going to Disney World. Because I was born and raised in Albany, Georgia, I was only able to visit Orlando once so it was a treat every time I was able to go to Disney World. I can confidently say my trips to Orlando when I was younger had a big impact on my move to Orlando in my adult life. I now take my children to Disney World so they can have the same experience as I did growing up.
