Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex, Caroline, Christopher and Kevin Trelles.
Alex, Caroline, Christopher and Kevin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The journey has been a long and educational one, especially for what we do now. I started in 1984 with Moen Faucet Company and was taken away by the Delta Faucet Company Rep Agency a year and a half into my time with Moen. From there, I climbed the corporate ladder with a couple of manufacturers through 2004. In January 2005, we opened Faucets, Sinks, Etc./Aquadecor.
Through my career, I represented many major manufacturers, such as Grohe, Toto, and Rohl to name a few. Because of this, I was trained for days or weeks by each manufacturer so I could train others in the industry. When we opened Aquadecor, we were one of the most experienced and trained showrooms in Florida.
My son, Christopher, built displays with me since he was nine and currently runs the showroom. Caroline, my dear wife, was my inside partner at Pinnacle Sales Group and at one time was the preferred go-to person for any issues with Toto toilets. She works with most of our larger accounts. My youngest son, Kevin, the numbers genius, runs the warehouse and deliveries.
All this knowledge and experience allows Aquadecor/Faucets Sinks, Etc. a family run business, to provide our customers with the best solutions for their plumbing dreams and needs, before, during and after the sale.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We really have had an advantage, not only because of our experience and training but also the contacts we still have with many manufacturers.
Nobody, but nobody, had a smooth road during the “Great Recession” and sales everywhere stopped and slowed down. During this time, strict business management and tightening of the belt was the only way to make it through those tough times. We survived and continue to provide excellent service.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Faucets, Sinks, Etc. d/b/a Aquadecor story. Tell us more about the business.
At Aquadecor, our mission is to provide our customers with the products and styles they are looking for. In addition to great product pricing, we were the first plumbing showroom in Palm Beach County to feature a working “Wet Room”.
