Community Highlights: Meet Kayla Barnett of K&B Vending Company

Kayla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m the founder and owner of K&B Vending Company. And I was born and raised in Broward County, FL. I’m currently enrolled as a full-time student and working a part time job. A year ago, my family and partner supported me in starting my own business. I decided on developing a vending company because I use to always enjoy going to the vending machines before or after lunch for snacks which was very convenient. K&B Vending brand is different because my passion is to ensure top notch customer service to schools, hospitals and establishments. My dream is to build my company and brand by serving the people with a variety of snacks and products within the South Florida area and beyond.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road for my business, due to the pandemic and being quarantined. I have experienced plenty of obstacles within my business. Businesses and establishments are closed which disabled me from placing my vending units at schools, hotels and warehouses etc. Although, it has been difficult I still remain optimistic that my brand will expand.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about K&B Vending Company?
My business K&B vending is a vending machine company. I currently have several vending units that each carries a variety of snacks and drinks. I plan to expand into providing masks and hand sanitizers and place at airports and schools across the nation

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years. K&B Vending will be a nationwide Vending Machine Company with plenty more vending units and a variety of products
