Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Jason Jackson.
Dr. Jason, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 2011, shortly after the acquisition of our bank, I was invited to enjoy the fullness of the customer experience; in other terms, I was let go. Though appearing as a crisis at first, I realized this to be the opportunity to build a financial institution that filled the unmet needs of small to medium-sized businesses. From that idea, IBS Investment Bank was born and the long, arduous journey began. Today we are recognized as a Forbes Finance Council member and partner to thousands of American entrepreneurs and couldn’t be prouder.
Has it been a smooth road?
If someone had asked to be this questions 7 years ago I would have exclaimed that the road was treacherous. In hindsight, I realized that every delay, denial, and hurdle caused us to adapt our minds and concurrently, our business model to accomplish the many milestones we have achieved today. In short, “interpreting the purpose of the road you are on, assists in your expectation.”

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
After completing my military career in California back in 2003, I was compelled to return to South Florida. South Florida is like nowhere else in the world because the world’s cultures are represented right before our eyes. This union of races, ethnicities, and cultures is my most cherished thought of our town. As always, there is always an opportunity to allow for more economic opportunity for those who desire it here in South Florida. Hopefully, our company is serving its part in creating such an environment.
