Today we’d like to introduce you to Saniah Scott.
Saniah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My mother always had a love for fashion. While growing up, I looked up to her and her fashion. At the age of 16 is when I started finding more of my style. Me and my mom have always spoken about starting a boutique but we would always just push it aside. Until one day, I told my mom this is something that I really want to do. She had my back the whole way! Finally, September 4th, 2020 we launched our black owned mother and daughter business!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We did come along some small bumps in the road. There were many times me and my mother didn’t agree on business choices. Being that she is my mother, it’s hard to win some arguments.
S&N Luxe Boutique – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
S&N Luxe Boutique is a home for all fashionistas. We sell stylish clothes on our online website for people to purchase. I believe we are known for our wonderful mother and daughter duo. We sell clothes for both of our age groups which makes us different from other boutiques. I’m most proud of how far we have come as a company in such little time! We have only been open for two months and we have received many orders and great feedback. This is only the beginning for us!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I would say the proudest moment was actually being recognized by many people. I went to grab a smoothie one day and someone asked me if I was the girl who started her own online boutique with her mother. They talked about how much they loved the website and it really made my day.
