Today we’d like to introduce you to Ruthann Palacios.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After I graduated high school, I joined a new media communications program at mcfatter while attending Broward College. After I learned more about graphic design and photography, that’s when my mind started changing. I started off making custom sneakers and I used that as an open window to begin my photography. After a couple of months, I started getting into painting clothes, editing videos for content and making logos, flyers, etc.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth, I think sometimes we expect things to grow instantly or even people to notice what you do right away but it’s all about you loving what you do and just putting it out there no matter what
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Ruya.Productions / The CD-R – what should we know?
I make custom sneakers, custom clothes, I do graphic design such as making logos, video editing, and flyers. I also do photography and I am certified in photoshop and also certified in media communications. I think what I’m most proud of is not holding back my creativity because of opinions and I think what sets me apart is that I can do more than just one thing but multiple.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My sister has played a big part through her critics before I make a final decision on a design, painting, or edit.
My friends Oriana, Coral, Emilie, Shelly, Yndnadub, and Brandon have all supported me and have even given me the opportunity to work with them to create content.
