Today we’d like to introduce you to Marliee Rose.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started doing my own nails in 2015.
I had been going to the nail salon for years and was never happy with the results so I decided to try for myself. I became very interested in the nail industry and would spend hours watching videos, reading articles, and practicing on myself and friends and family. Once I realized there was a real career in being a nail tech, I decided to go to school to be licensed.
It’s always been my dream to start my own nail product line as well as open my own nail school. I have begun releasing my own products on marlieerose.com and will gradually add more.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been easy. I am a single mother so I’ve had to juggle being a parent/ sole provider and being a student. I did have some help from family and friends along the way, though

I am a nail artist. I service a full clientele full-time and am also the owner and CEO of Marliee Rose Nail Creativity and Beauty, LLC.
My acrylic nail services are an experience within itself. I make my clients feel relaxed and comfortable. I give every client my full attention and am able to execute whatever design they might want. I have a bond with my clients, we talk about everything.
My nail products will hold the same value. I take the time to test products and make sure they meet my own standards before selling them to my customers. I am in the process of creating my own acrylic line, to be released next year.
I’m most proud at how happy my clients are when they leave my seat. I love doing their nails and they love wearing my art.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I’ve always kept more to myself. I had the few friends I liked to be around and that was it.
I’m still very introvert but I have come out of my shell tremendously since doing nails and coming across so many different people and networking opportunities.
I’ve always been interested in art and fashion but I never even considered doing nails while I was a kid.
