Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzanne Rynning and Patricia Gutierrez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Love has the power to break all barriers!! We can love people for who they are, not for the labels society has put on them. Often our judgment for a person comes after we find out what they do for a living, how successful they have been, what religion they are, sexual preference, political views, and poor decisions from the past. Our hope is that people can understand that when all the titles are taken off, we are just people living this journey the best way we can. We don’t have to agree with everything but we must respect and love each other. How many times do we disagree with a family member because of something they did but we still love them. God doesn’t agree with our sins but he still loves us. The same should go for everyone we encounter in life. We don’t have to agree with the actions but we still can love the person. The act of human kindness in everyday interactions is what fuels love.
Love Without Labels was created to help promote this kindness. We designed and created these shirts to spread this message that has been planted in our hearts.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship has always been a scary thing but we figured why not us. We knew we wanted to spread a positive message. So we put a plan in place. We designed the shirts, launched the web site and were ready.
Little did we know we would be launching right into a global pandemic. Originally we wanted to go out into the community and do volunteer work. When Covid 19 happened, this plan was completely put on hold. We had to shift our thinking. We used social media to find other ways to connect when we could not physically be present. The road has not been easy but we know these obstacles will only make us stronger.
Love Without Labels – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As a company, we set ourselves apart by our message. Our mission is to promote unity by spreading kindness. We are in the process of joining forces with other foundations that believe in our message. We hope by partnering with like-minded organizations, we can create more awareness and create unity.
Our company is about more than selling apparel. We want to create a new movement that fuels the world a little differently. Instead of comparing our selves to one another, we want us to use the single thing that can bring all people together. We believe that one thing is kindness. Human kindness will always feel love and love can change the world.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Being a new company that just started, we have so much to be proud of. We know that our message is important and really needed now. We take great pride when customers wear our shirts and smile. They truly understand the importance of the message behind each t-shirt.
What we are most proud of is we have been able to pay it forward and give back to local communities. Once a month, we find a different way to help and donate to different causes. It can be either investing in an individual or giving to an organization. We were able to sponsor seven high school graduates as they transitioned to college. We have made donations to homeless, disaster areas and, most recently back to school programs.
