Today we’d like to introduce you to Romene Henrice.
Romene, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Honestly, it’s the challenge of it all. Being told that I couldn’t be something because of my size, I didn’t know then, but I know now that it would be the fuel to my fire. You see, “its not about the size you wear, but rather how you wear your size.” I hate limitations, therefore I live by the scripture “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 so you see, my God says with him I’m limitless. In all I do, I live my life as such.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NO!! not at all, but I don’t regret my ongoing journey I would never turn back I will forever push forward, but to answer your question some of the biggest adversities I’ve faced are remaining consistent, finding content without going bankrupt, being creative, finding your target audience, when I have told people my prices I’ve heard they’re too high but I’ve come to realize then those aren’t my people never lower your prices to match peoples standards who don’t understand how incredibly hard you work, helping people know what a personal shopper/stylist is explaining what it is we do, building my brand I’ve been cheated out of a lot money with my website a lot of people don’t have good work ethics they start well they just don’t keep that same standard and the worst part of it all learning who supports you truly I’ve had strangers root for me more than some friends. But I’m here and here is where ill remain trust your journey and share it everyone’s is different.
Please tell us about Romene’s Fashion Society.
Romene’s Fashion Society is just that a society I call it that because I will be continuously building in my fashion society soon, I will have a couture line, I will have an online boutique. I can offer everyone something to help or enhance or relieve pressure from the homemaker who hates school shopping for her kids to the attorney who needs everyday court wear sorted for daily use in his/her closet, I also offer closet transformation for the cluttered closet with outdated pieces and Vacation shopping. You tell me where you’re vacationing and we’ll find the ideal outfits for each day/evening of your holiday away. Do you hate packing? Allow me to make this problem go away. I will put together outfits for your trip, pack them and ensure that you are covered for each day/event. Making certain that when you get to your destination that your clothes, shoes and accessories come out perfectly. All you have to think about is enjoying your trip, be it business or pleasure!
What sets me apart is I offer variety of packages that will in someway make life easier for you. One of my most popular packages I offer is the ‘glamour on set package” I set everything up for you all you do is pick a date for your photoshoot your outfits will be there it includes a makeup artist a photographer and 5 min custom video from our videographer me on set assisting making sure any fashion incidents are taken care of immediately I roll out the red carpet it’s truly an experience so you see I have a package that accommodates everyone I truly believe in excellence here at Romene’s Fashion Society I strive for it. and you will see that in your experience with me.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Christmas and New Years it’s the time where all my family gathers I get to see all my four brothers in one spot growing up it was a luxury family time wasn’t taken for granted and a lot of my relatives come over to my moms for soup joumou I’m Haitian American and Haiti declared it’s independence on January 1st, 1804. Soup Joumou was a recipe exclusively reserved for the French colonial masters. To celebrate their liberty, Haitians have made a tradition of enjoying this meal every January 1st. the holidays I love them.
