Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristian Londono.
Cristian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a poor neighborhood in Medellín, Colombia. I won’t go into the many struggles I endured there, but somehow, I managed to attend Dentistry school until 2014. Back then, my greatest dream was to help poor people by making their dentures at the least possible cost to them. I have the opportunity to move to USA Which has been a dream for me. Before long, I was able to find a better living, without the language, and few connections — just making my new future day by day.
I didn’t graduate from dentist school. I’m just now studying to become one. I discovered a way to create a business in the dentistry field. One day, while working in a Dental Office, I realized with concern how much pain and sensitivity patients experience during teeth whitening. The results were great, but there was a physical price to get that shining, bright smile. That’s the exact moment I decided to find a better way, and my new dream was born. To make a long story shorter, I realized that dream, and today I have my own teeth whitening company, Majestic Whitening. This inspiration has helped me build a business based on giving people a smile they deserve. A bright, better smile using components that are all-natural and contain no chemicals, in a process that does not generate tooth sensitivity and is FDA approved.
And in just four years, the business has grown tremendously because we make our clients happy. They get the smile they’ve dreamed of having, which generates new self-confidence, all completed in the comfort of their own home or workplace. This personal service is what sets my business apart from others in this industry. Majestic Whitening is definitely my biggest accomplishment so far. But I’m still dreaming of even more ways to enhance our great product as well as the services we offer. And all this has been very inspiring for my family in Colombia, too. I still miss them every day, but I know they are so proud of me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been easy, because my first barriers were the language and not having a penny to my name. But this did not stop me. I knew I could do it by being persistent and applying good customer skills and of course, relying on my own hope, determination and courage. These barriers became less significant as I began to learn the language and make friends, many of whom I am grateful to for helping me along the way.
