Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Daniel Campos.
Dr. Campos, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Cuba, where I began my professional career, I came to live in Miami in 1995. I began to practice as a nurse in 2003 and continued my studies until obtaining a master’s degree in advanced practice from the University of Miami with a focus on primary care for adults and the elderly. Later, I earned my doctorate from Nova University and currently practice in Coral Gables.
My specialty focuses on non-invasive aesthetic and anti-aging procedures. I hold an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida and I am board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in the specialty of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. My ease of communication makes me an educator by excellence, and to which I have dedicated part of my career practicing as a professor at various colleges in South Florida. I am the author of the book “Joven Para Siempre” (Forever Young), a regular contributor on health and beauty for People en Español magazine and for various Spanish radio and television networks in the United States, including Telemundo, Hola TV, Mega TV.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I came to the US by myself at the age of 22, so it was hard to get started. Learning the language was my first challenge. Then with all my family in Cuba, it was really hard to pay for my education while helping those that stayed behind.

And that is thanks to having chosen nursing as my path to be where I am today.
