Meet Tiffany Dorsey of My Greedy Travels in Miami Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Dorsey.

Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Food has always been my first love and the best part of life. I’m originally from Maryland and I moved to Miami because of the great culture and because I was tired of shoveling snow. When you see me eating good food, I’m usually dancing or moaning because the food is that good. I enjoy watching Food Network shows and recreating dishes from my favorite restaurants but I can’t stand cleaning dishes.

I’m happy to say that I have turned my passion into a business by starting my blog. I started going out to restaurants and sharing my experiences with other people. I’m the person that can’t eat her food until I take multiple pictures of it. Plus, I don’t have to do dishes lol. When I travel, I’m mostly planning out what restaurants I want to try out and I’ve met a lot of great foodies along the way. You have a bucket list? Well I have a food list of so many restaurants I want to experience.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not lol. I struggled mostly, trying to make sure I had good content. We are our worst critics right? Quarantine has made it hard for me to go out and enjoy the restaurants on my list. So now, I’m Chef Tiffany in my own kitchen LOL.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the My Greedy Travels story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m known for providing restaurant suggestions for my local area and beyond. On top of the restaurant reviews, I currently do a weekly Q&A with chefs on Instagram or Zoom. We talk about their business, products and their favorite dishes. I host a show called Sliced (haha yes like chopped) where chefs battle against each other, showing off their culinary skills. It is so much fun and the winner gets a great prize. I also co-host Foodie Friday’s where we learn kitchen techniques and get to cook amazing dishes together on Zoom. My favorite dish thus far is the Alfredo and Jambalaya.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t say luck has played a meaningful role in my life. I would say my ability to adapt to situations due to COVID-19 has made a major impact in my business approach. I’ve been able to work on my own recipes and reach out to chefs to collaborate on projects. The pandemic has definitely been a blessing in disguise for me.
